The exotic and mysterious tones of the Central Asian santur float above electro-acoustic soundscapes like bokeh motes in sunlight.

Brian Eno originally defined ambient music as "music that does not demand attention but rewards it when given". In the context of this psycho-emotional musical space, Tim Gerwing presents musical furniture for your inner listening enjoyment.

Is it the voice of a meta-terrestrial being channeling the Inner Listener? Is it the voice of an aging MMA fighter reaching a state of nirvana despite (or maybe because of) the concussion damage? Is it a found sound from a now-defunct tele-shopping program? Is it an inner dialogue scratched, marred, and transcribed with too-old-not-to-be-cool analogue equipment? Who knows?
Music for the Inner Listener VI - Tim Gerwing plays guitar interpreting rock, jazz, and world styles. NOTE - this album is currently available as a Digital Album only.
Tim Gerwing's 5th studio album, Scorpius Rising takes listeners on an auditory odyssey through the twists and turns of ambient, electronic, and Arabic-influenced music.
Distant Field (Are You Coming With Me) - a modern rock/pop instrumental piece with uplifting feel reminiscent of Michael brook, U2, Daniel Lanois, and brian Eno, this track was originally used as a soundtrack for Tada Shizen Nojo to highlight their disaster relief efforts in Japan March 2011.
Dear Inner Listeners - over the years, I have watched as my CD collection grew and grew, but I have also noticed how infrequently I actually handled a physical CD case. I became concerned at the amount of plastic and waste that was being created, and I have decided that with the exception of limited editions, I will no longer be printing CDs. I hope you agree this is a worthy and environmentally friendly decision.
Yours truly,
Tim Gerwing
